Also, I find Dan's excessive use of the word "shoot" (and other wrestling terminology) and the bit of just not calling Mike by his name extremely weird, off-putting, and uncomfortable.

It was good to punish Grubb harshly for the whistling.

He was testing his boundaries, and you have to set firm consequences for unwanted behavior or they'll never learn.

I can't wait to see how this changes with Tears of the Kingdom. After watching the fellas discuss the preview, it seems like creating vehicles to race across the map a la Wacky Races could be great.

Don't worry, I can, as I wasn't referring to Mike, but rather myself as the audience.

For me, whenever someone refuses to address me or anyone by their real name and instead makes it a consistent effort to call that person the name they want, that sentiment is always rooted in transphobia. Every time Dan does so, that same lingering feeling of experiences with transphobia reemerges.

Because this is the internet, I'm forced to make this addendum: I'm 95% sure that Dan Ryckert isn't transphobic and, certainly, wouldn't be trying to do so on purpose. I understand that it's a bit done with mutual approval.
