I like fighting games. I usually buy any one that comes out but I won't be purchasing UMVC3. I share Jeff's experience with MVC3, I was never into the series but bought 3, got reasonably decent at it and then put it down and didn't keep up. Now I upgraded to SSF IV because I love that franchise and the fighting game itself, so I am wondering who in GB will be upgrading or getting into UMVC3 as a new player.

It also doesn't help that this game will be coming out during a period of many other big titles.

I'm tempted, but i think i'll sit this one out. Does anyone know if they are adding new endings? I can at least youtube those.

Already got it pre-ordered. I had also bought MvC3 on day 1, so I voted A. I'll also be buying the Vita version when that's out.

I didn't buy MVC3 (partially because I knew they would put out an Ultimate or Super or something version soonish) but I will buy this.

I might pick it up, since I never got the vanilla version and therefore feel no guilt from doing so, but there are plenty of other games coming out this holiday, games that I actually have a basic understanding and competence in. We'll see. For now, KoF XIII takes higher priority.

I played more than enough MvC3 to warrant a $30 dollar upgrade.

Probably not. I actually got tired of this game pretty fast. One you see past all the flash it portrais, it's really not a game that I find all that interesting.

@AngelN7: No they're not. Jill and Shuma are still dlc characters.

From a guy who pumped hundreds of dollars into the arcade MvC machines at my college back in the day - No, I won't be getting UMVC3.

I was hardcore pumped for MvC3. When my PS3 died an hour into playing MvC3, I went to EB to buy a brand new PS3. Retail. Paying 10% sales tax and all. I -never- purchase stuff in a brick and mortar and I -never- go to an EB. That's how much I wanted to play this game. I played it hardcore for the first week and then just... stopped. Something about it rubbed me wrong, and I'm not sure what it is.

Where's the option for "I never bought MvC3 and want Ultimate"? I borrowed MvC3 from a friend and I really like it, and some of the dumb shit is going away in that game so I'll be really interested in this.

She-Hulk c.H being nerfed makes me sad though. But as long as the charge/spencer's angled wire -> clothesline works, I'm A-Okay.

Absolutely. Anyone who enjoyed MvC3 and can afford to buy this game should upgrade. Everything I've seen points to this game being the game we should've gotten in February.

It was probably the foreboding feeling in your subconscious that there was totally going to be a glorified 30 dollar DLC disk six months later. I'd feel unsettled, too.

No man. I bought MVC3 at launch and was kind of disappointed at MVC3's gameplay in general. I liked going through arcade to get done with all of the endings but that was it really. The multiplayer didn't grab me that much. I say that as a huge MVC fan.

I bought MvC3. I was very angry that they were doing this, and I swore that I would resist it.

So yes. Probably not until it goes on sale, but yeah. I can't resist. Not after I've seen footage of Frank West, Phoenix Wright, and Rocket Raccoon.

Too many other game in that time period to play. I will wait for King of Fighters 13 to get my fighting game fix.

The problem is that I'm strapped for cash. If I were to order a new joystick(30$) then I'll have to skip out on Saints row or Skyrim or Assassin's Creed etc etc. I'm pretty sure I'll have it fixed by the time Street Fighter X Tekken comes out though.

maybe ,a lot of other games coming out, plus school i might not have the time to put in. this was the case with vanillia as well. Also i want to get baack into street fighter 4
