I'm not sure if I'm missing it somewhere, but when you're one of the larger animals (like a bear or a lion), is there a way to do those "special moves"? As in that attack you see enemy animals do when they pause, their paw glows, and they strike for a powerful attack or one-hit-kill? I know I've seen my pack do the move, but I wasn't sure if the player's animal could do that, too. Or is that something you learn or they teach you in story mode? I haven't completed that yet, so obviously no spoilers if it is tied in. I understand, too, if they don't allow the player to do that, as well...probably wouldn't help with balancing, probably to over-powered. BUT if I'm just missing something, and it is available to the player, I'd appreciate the info.

I don't recall them ever teaching how to use power attacks in story mode, just what they looked like and that you should get out of the way. It's entirely possible that I missed it. The only thing I could think of would be holding down square, which I have tried to no avail. I haven't seen anyone else mention doing it, so I reckon it's just not available to the player. Which, like you said, is understandable.

I don't think you can do it, kind of sad really. Although it easy to miss/dodge that attack so it's not that useful.
