I never even beat it with normal Mario, that game was hard.

Actually the game wasn't that hard it was just hard when the camera went all weird and the controls got inverted when going around a planet, which was basically the whole game.

Then I rage quit.

Good job, dude.  I never got all the stars with Mario, only beat the final boss.  I just couldn't keep playing because I got bored after beating the final boss, which..........pains me a bit to say as a Mario fan.

Noice work, mate! I started my Luigi game as soon as I beat it the game the first time round, only to lend the disc to someone who still has the bloody thing. You've totally made me start jonesing for it now.

I did this about a year and a half ago. I don't really care about it anymore. Good job though.

I got back on the Galaxy wagon a couple of days ago too. I finished that level thats just a big Mario, and you have to get 100 purple coins. Then I gave up. I always wondered what happened when you beat it with Luigi, now at least I know its worth it.

While some of the stars were really frustrating to get, the game itself was not that difficult, I managed to 100% in something like 2-3 weeks(Yes, I'm F'in nuts). Still, great job and congrats.

Congrats man! I heard that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is considered more of an expansion pack to the first one rather than a completely new game. Either way, you can play more and 100% it more!

I also got kinda bored after the final boss although i wish i had known about this

I got all 120 Stars in Super Mario 64 and all the Shines in Super Mario Sunshine, but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to play through Galaxy again with Luigi, even though having Luigi in game was a dream come true... funny how life works-out. 

On a side note, too bad Nintendo makes us have to take pictures and manually make forum posts to show off our "Wii Achievements".  It's kind of bunk.  Hey, Nintendo, where's the Wii Acheivement Patch and retroactive patching of all your big franchises to including Acheivement Support!?  (lol, I kid, I kid... I know, this will never happen).

I got 120 stars with mario within the week of release, got the first star with Luigi, and then put it down to be played though at a later date and haven't touched it since.

I'll be hooking up my wii again soon as i've just picked up Pikmin today, and so i'll think i'll play through Galaxy again. I adore some of those levels.

I did this too shortly after I got my Wii with Super Mario Galaxy. I have to say that the "reward" was extremely underwhelming, but I can't complain too much since I did have fun with the game.

The game is SO much fun I too want to get everything 100%.

I haven't even played the game. Hmm, i don't even own a Wii. I guess that makes sense.

I did this when I first got Mario Galaxy and couldn't have asked for a better game, I really could not have. This is my second favorite Mario game, first being Super Mario Brothers 3.
