Bakalar isn't wrong, but isn't 100% right either, regarding the sports thing. I have two friends who were sports journalists in Chicago (1 retired, 1 active) and they have mentioned many times how a ton of professional athletes aren't fans of their own sport. One relatively well known player for the Chicago Bears HATED football, but knew he had the skills and could be rich because of it (and he was right)! I'm sure it's more likely that they ARE fans of the sport they play, but it's definitely not 1:1.

On a related note, this UPF reminds me of the Tournament of Bad that a sports station in Chicago used to do. Pretty fun list to go over and see what came up on there.
