The $40 price stated in the video is just for the physical switch cartridge version, I believe. $25 digital.

Overcooked, Battle Chef Brigade, and Cook, Serve, Delicious is proof that games about cooking in the last couple years has been fantastic.

Hearing this game has online multiplayer is great for me. I tried playing the first one solo since I don't have anyone to play with but I didn't like the solo mode .

I love that there are little diners sitting on the riverside on the raft level.

What is the online play situation for this on Steam? I'd love to play through this, but I don't have anyone locally or in an online gaming group with whom to play this. Would it be possible to play through the campaign with pickup groups?

@indigozeal: You could play through the campaign in the first game with any amount of players, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to in the sequel.

Maybe I'm wrong since I haven't really played either of these games, but after watching quick looks for both, this feels like it should have been released as DLC for Overcooked 1.

@zemavieira: We'll have to wait and see how much new content there is in the levels to say for sure. The first game didn't have any online play, so starting fresh from another game is probably a way better call than adding the online play in a DLC.

I bet the online is just fine if you're playing with friends. Otherwise, yeah, probably best to play locally.

@schmancy_pants: Stardew Valley just added online multiplayer for free (a game that didn't even have local multiplayer to begin with). But I agree, I have no idea how many levels there are and how different they are from the ones in the first game.

Someone who worked on this game has to have actually done kitchen work because even just watching this game gives me stress like when I’m at work...I would however watch much more of vinny and dan dueling over where to drive the truck!

@schmancy_pants: I'm talking specifically about online pickup groups, though, not the local co-op from the first game. I'll have to get the game and see if it's feasible, then take advantage of a Steam refund if it isn't. Odd that no one knows the answer here, though.
