What a weird game! This ending was definitely cobbled together from multiple different versions of the game, as far as I can tell, but as a whole it's just batshit crazy and makes almost no sense at all. Just a random jumble of events that are apparently supposed to be meaningful but it just winds up landing with a thud.

@rorie: I kept telling myself I must just be missing context I'd have from playing the whole game, but it feels like they basically swept up everything on the cutting room floor and said, "That's an ending!"

I watched this live. Every time I thought "this ending sequence can't get any worse, can it?" it somehow did.

Respect for powering through this one. This game had it's ups and downs, but the ending sequence is one of the most bafflingly awful things I've witnessed in years. I would pay good money to watch a documentary on this game's development. I feel there would be some Lost in La Mancha level stuff in there.

Credit to Rorie for powering through this one. It's one of the few games I dropped almost entirely because of the writing. It's so, so bad for so much of the game. Like, you'll have one part of the game trying to tell this human-tragedy story right next to another part of the game with some lady singing horribly about her lost scarf.

And don't even get me started on the whole Survivors vs. Peacekeepers thing. The devs clearly had a hard on for the Survivors being the "good" choice, but then take every opportunity to depict them as a bunch of hypocritical, vicious, lying, moronic, disorganized savages.

I'd love to know what the writing process was for this game. It feels almost like they put about two dozen writers into separate sound-proof cubes and just told them to write . . . stuff. But also didn't allow them to talk to one another at all about what was supposed to be happening.

I'm sure that watching this having only seen other streams from the early part of the game isn't the ideal way to experience the story, but it made for a fun and weird watch nonetheless.

The bits where the character becomes super strong seemed kind of sloppy, like the hits weren't connecting in the sort of satisfying way you'd want in a moment like that.

Thanks for this Rorie! This game seems absolutely painful, but this was really fun with you rambling over it!
