Digital cameras can face additional tariffs if they're able to record longer-length video in the EU (up to 15% greater, depending on the region), as they will be classified as camcorders for the purposes of tax law. Most manufacturers get around this cost by having a limiter on the length of video able to be recorded in a single shot.

Yeah i have to admit Brad came off a little elitist with that comment about the power of the card. I know obviously they are used to getting tons of stuff in the mail but still somebody sent you a solid video card for free it deserved a little more acknowledgement.

i've tested it and you guys must be moving the mouse and clicking incredibly fast for it to even be an issue.

e: there's also a pinned thread in bug reporting so they're definitely aware but it hasn't been updated very recently. maybe make another post in there and @jslack or something.

@ripelivejam: Well, I mean, you can click anywhere on the video. A great thing, but it's what causes the mistake for me. If you hover over the Reviews/Videos/Podcasts tabs, you'll see that they take up a fair bit of video space. Especially Reviews. I'm usually quickly hovering over and clicking towards the top of the video, which ends up causing me to go to another page and you get the idea.

Maybe putting like a half-second delay on the tabs before the drop-down menu occurs would fix it. Idk, chances are that would end up upsetting people who have gotten so used to the way the site behaves.

It's an issue, but it's a somewhat trivial one, which is why I've just kept it to myself instead of complaining about it. But the other guy was acting like it doesn't effect anyone, and I wanted to chime in.

@stimpack: yeah i see what you mean; i was going straight to the middle. sounds like a delay might be a nice work around, or hopefully they find another way to fix it.

I was shocked to see Amazing Island! I fell into that game hard. Just the ability to terribly draw monsters and then setting them on fire was so appealing.

Which is why people should probably just sell it... not send it to Giantbomb who most likely won't need it. I think getting mundane, but expensive stuff like that just makes them uncomfortable. Of course, people can do whatever they want with their shit, just saying Gbomb shouldn't be blamed for their somewhat awkward reaction to getting stuff like that.

Around ~32:00 Dan mentions a "Taco Bell date"... that raises so many questions. All of which could probably be answered with "because he's Dan Ryckert."

This isn't the first mailbag where it seems to me that Brad is slightly annoyed. I know he's in the middle of working there and all but he declines to try snacks a lot. Or maybe just the recent mailbags I've seen are the only cases.
