Other devs, please take notes, copy these system:
1. Battle system from FF7R

2. Side quest system from Witcher 3

3. I dunno, just make another Obra Dinn or something.

Just to join in: The open world and freedom to create your character of Skyrim, the combat of FF7R, the attention to world building and characterization of Witcher 3, and, just for fun, the car crashes of Burnout.

The music and production values of FF7R.... and Tetris

You really want to be level 50 and have maxed out optimal materia setups for the Hard Mode battles. Even then they're still pretty hard.

The hardest part of this game is listening to people praise it.

But Persona 5 is basically perfect for what it is. I dunno if that particular series needs an action-combat revamp. Some things are just better as turn based RPGs.

You had me at number 1, why hasn't some new RPG copied the Grandia battle system yet??? It is my favorite turn based battle system ever. Just pair that with some good characters/narrative/worldbuilding and I would be over the moon.

The closest any newer game has gotten to a really interesting turn-based battle system on the level of Grandia for me was probably Cosmic Star Heroine - it does really interesting stuff with how abilities are used up and recharged, and makes waiting & defending very important.

I didn't get anything about Cloud's backstory through osmosis before playing the original. All that stuff took me by surprise.

@neocalypso: my issue with you is telling me that my LEGITIMATE complaint about the poor quality of FF7 Remake is quote crying is why you are in the wrong I merely said that I don’t want bad combat in Persona 5. How is that crying? I can’t avoid this crap. It’s on every page. I actively campaigned to get this game made and I hope to hell part 2 never gets made.
