I mean. . .Super Meat Boy doesn't have combat, but this. . .ain't Super Meat Boy.

I also never realized how crucial having actual rooms are to Metroidvanias. Without the screen-halting barriers rooms provide, levels just become a Euro-platformer mess. This means more map consulting, which breaks flow enough without it also killing the music. (Pause/map screens that interrupt the music are a pet peeve of mine.)

@missashley: Ouch, yea, that's worse than some games that restart tracks too often. How hard could it have been to let the music keep playing? What a strange choice.
