About the PS5 controller discussion, I had to send my launch PS5 controller back to get repaired because of left stick drifting issues, and I got a new controller from Amazon, that actually starting drifting sooner than the launch PS5 controller. One thing that seems to work, though only temporary, is blowing into the sticks. I don't know how it works, but at least for me it does. The drifting stops, at least until I turn off my PS5 and turn it on again at another time, and then I have to blow into the sticks again. Which makes me wonder if the drifting issues is a problem coming from the console itself when I attach the charging wire to it.

Wow, that Doom Ray Tracing mod is something. Loaded up the trailer as soon as Jeff mentioned it, and I think it might be the first use of ray tracing that has actually impressed me.

My xbox controller is about a year old and has developed the vertical drift on the left stick... I am hoping it will just go away....

I respect Jess doing that, instead of the guys and their constant "wrestling sucks, wrestling sucks", then later, "Did you see Summerslam?" "Did you see Wrestlemania?" "Lets talk about it!" They do it every year, almost like a GB tradition and its sad.

this is a weird thing to say. the switch gag is just a jokey way of communicating 'i have little-to-nothing to say here.' hell, in the context of a video game website that is frequently called out for wrestling bleeding into everything (to the extent that apologizing for wrestling talk is practically an inside joke)...asking someone to fake it (especially when it might not be their wheelhouse) feels unreasonable.

I adore Jess's commitment to not giving a single, solitary fuck about wrestling.

I hate Wrestling as much as the next duder here, but there is a large part of the GB audience who loves it. GB has always had loads of Wrestling talk straight back to the beginning, its what parts of the crew has always enjoyed despite them also having issues with it.

Respect that others like it. If i had to make a post every time Wrestling, Persona, and every damn Audio Network song was played or mentioned on this site, i would have a billion posts.

Blur was awesome and 1 of the best racing games ever made. I thought that at the time and still think that to this day. Activision sent it to die and they succeeded, but over the course of 2 years I never had a problem getting into a full game online on PS3 and 360.

I'm not a fan of wrestling but have watched it occasionally because its dumb & hilarious, giant bomb turned me onto the idea that there was even something there to enjoy at all with pro wrestling :p Just skip it if you're really that sensitive. Part of me just wants GB to turn off these comment sections under all their videos. I feel like half the time I read any of these its just people nitpicking like crazy.

It's the chads who are critically re-evalutating the Prequels. Those who still hold on to the old hatred are weak and won't survive the winter. Hella flawed and interesting films.

The main problem is that they no longer have a podcast host (i.e. a person who can direct the flow of the cast) who is disinterested in wrestling and therefore will keep it to a minimum - formerly, this was Brad. But, admittedly, they did not linger on it for too long here.

As a lifelong Star Wars fan and also someone who was the exact age demo for the prequels, I have always liked the prequels, flaws and all. This new wave of prequel appreciation is too little too late. Bunch of damn bandwagoners. Some of us were always here!

I have never watched wrestling, but I've listened to every single episode of the powerbomb cast. Twice. The actual shows I find boring to watch because I usually don't have any context and there's too much garbage filler, but I love hearing them condense it down to the highlights and lowlights

I am fully vaxxed and boosted. I believe in the power of the vaccine. However if it doesn't stop the spread of disease in a meaningful way then what does it matter. If the vaccine prevents you from serious illness or death then why do you care of someone else is dumb enough not to protect themselves?

If you want a lot of penis action, watch Pam & Tommy (on Hulu in the US, or on Disney+ in the rest of the world hilariously). Plenty of obviously prosthetic dongs (maybe some real also), and one of the penises is voiced by Jason Mantzoukas.

I genuinely was surprised to hear folks say the parry in tunic is useless considering how liberally I used it! If you figure out the window it can trivialize some bossfights, projectile annoyances, there's at least one boss I don't think I'd have been able to get in on without parrying, too!

Call me a spoilers baby (if you dare!) but eroding that discovery is a bummer.

That comes with the territory. For most of the 2000s adventure games were simultaneously the most common genre, but also "dead".

I would personally rather rewatch the Star Wars prequels than the Disney movies, even though I think the 1-3 trilogy is far worse quality than each of them (except RoS). They have basic plots that are poorly edited and sequenced, writing so stilted it makes Natalie Portman look like a dogshit actor, and more experimentation with scene transition wipe technology than a middle schooler’s Power Point presentation. The fact that it was one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year and commanded more marketing attention than the big companies when it was essentially one guy’s terrible fanfic of his own work is something very unique for the time. It’s probably an alien concept to the prequel stans (particularly in today’s meticulously curated and sanitized blockbuster world), so I understand their fandom even as I believe it to be misguided.

If you haven't seen Drive staring Mark Dacascos, Kadeem Hardison, and Brittany Murphy I can't recommend it enough. Highly underrated martial arts action movie. Felt like it was ahead of its time for being an American made movie with a ton of Hong Kong action movie fight scenes.

There are lots of topics I don't care about on the Bombcast but if I was *on* the podcast I wouldn't *visibly* check out.
