In the world of video gaming rarely do we see a game where the government of U.S.A is perceived as an enemy. Yet with the increasingly controversial role America plays in numerous wars, accused of destabilizing nations like Iraq,Libya, Syria, Ukraine,Afghanistan former USSR etc as well as increasing hostile attitudes towards the United States and it's controversial foreign policy as well as sanctions against it's "opponents" such as Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. It's drone strikes that have killed many civilians, the whole "Agent Orange" crisis in Vietnam, The atomic bombings of Japan as well as widely debated support for the nation of Israel. Conspiracy theories some proven correct linking United States government to supporting terrorist groups as well as violent drug cartels. A distaste for American values and democracy and nationalism for another country. Games where the American government appear as enemy whether as an invading force or military opponent have made it's ways pass the controversies to modern day. Where as other games depict the U.S government as a force trying to control or contain a situation or disaster often of times leading to strict martial law or oppression. This is a list of games for which regardless reason have the United States of America as a hostile force or opponent. Note: The games featured here have a premise or at lease one point where the U.S government and it's military is an enemy force to your character and does not include strategy games where you can choose a certain side. Propaganda games will be included because they adhere to the formula of the U.S being an enemy. 2nd note: Fictional governmental organizations will be included in the list as long as they are created and affiliated with the U.S government example is Infamous Second Son's Department of Unified Protection (DUP) Games that have a force similar too, but is not explicitly stated to be from the U.S such as the Global Relief Effort from Dying Light are not allowed as they operate globally and are not an agency or group created by or linked to America. 3rd note games with a similar force but are not officially affiliated with the government of the U.S or against the U.S government are not allowed on this list an example would be the Last Man Battalion (LMB) from Division as they establish they do not want to restore the government of the U.S. 4th note "rogue military groups" are allowed because they at one point were under the control of America and are still American in nationality even if their goals have changed as long as they are or were affiliated with the U.S government or military and not international private military companies.
