Astro Bot is pretty damn good. Like trying VR for the first time again good. The mechanics and scenarios it presents are solid, but the impact of being an active presence in a delightful platformer taking place all around you is game changing. A landmark title whose legacy will only grow as VR itself does.
Soulful journey
Turn of the century techno optimism
The series continuation I was hoping for and then some. A collection of refined, dense and intriguing locations to Hitman your way through Groundhog Day-style in ways both impossibly cool and ludicrously comedic. Major props for including the entire first game under one wrapper alongside new modes and online challenges, delivering a true world of assassination for Agent 47's globetrotting shenanigans.
Weighty action, rewarding exploration, meaningful loot and quietly affecting character moments. A large scale labor of love that exudes confidence, talent and vision.
Methodical
Tells an expansive Yakuza story with all the highs, lows, side stories and Majima you want with a level of polish that rarely betrays its remake origins. Up there with 0 as series favorites so far.
Atmospheric, deliberate and alive with artistic intent behind every lived-in detail of its world. Arthur Morgan is a fantastic protagonist.
Not usually one for gatchas but I like this and have stuck with it. They got me damnit
One to savor and get lost in during the odd, quiet hours of the night.
The choice heavy dialogue and clicky interactive overworld parts are great. Would be top 10 if I'd enjoyed the modifications they made to Gwent more.
