Creepy Pokemon from Generation I

Had time to spare so I thought I'd have fun revisiting memory lane with the pokemon found in Red/Blue.

List items

  • Should I say more.

  • A 2-foot tall rat. Is pokemon set in NYC?

  • My favorite pokemon just so happens to be one of the creepiest. It walks around wearing the skull of its dead mother.

  • Both creepy and racist. Yeah I saw the pokemon episode where she tries to seduce Brock and that was pretty traumatizing as a kid.

  • That mouth.

  • I never trusted you. Eyes of a psychopath.

  • Not sure wtf this is but it's creepy.

  • The pokedex description basically refers to it as a pile of shit.

  • The pokemon equivalent to the Body Snatchers.

I've always been a little confused at how people can hold Gen 1 Pokemon, which includes some real odd ones, in such reverence, while simultaneously criticizing the new ones. Gen 1 will always hold a special place in my heart and the new generations really can't capture that love like it used to, but I've never made any illusions that a lot of Pokemon from the first couple of generations are pretty dumb.
