Best of 2021

2021 was one of the worst years I can remember for gaming...

Games I wish I played that would have made this list: Monster Hunter Rise, Returnal, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, R&C Rift Apart, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Halo Infinite. That's still only 9, and only 1 of those I couldn't play due to platform (Halo Infinite). The others just never seemed worth my time when they released and I've been too busy to go back. I did however spend at least 50 hours on each of the 3 games on the list. I do wish better games were out though.

  1. Outriders

  PS5: In a normal year, this might eke out a number 9-10 spot. This year, it was one of the best games I played. The normal play through was meh but I really enjoyed what was there of the end game. Recent patches also make this game much better than it was. Look forward to DLC in 2022.

  2. Far Cry 6

  PS5: This was an alright game. Not the best Far Cry game, but it was alright. Better than most in 2021.

  3. NBA 2K22

  PS5: The gameplay is the best it's ever been. But why have they removed so much of the in game chats and features from the next gen version? It's real weird.
