Saddened by the GG Xrd player drop. Kind of surprised by the MKXL drop as well. Didn't expect it to happen this year.

@hassun: The MKXL drop is sharp! Thought the Xrd numbers would rise after the tournament was well received and lots of eyes on the Ogawa vs Woshige match, strange

What happened to MKXL?

I thought that game was decently liked?

@slag: I can't really point to one stand out reason as to why it dropped so many players as it did. I wonder how many of them jumped ship to SFV, or whether the MK community in general has mellowed on MKX.

Even so, 707 entrants is double what Injustice got in 2014, which as I recall was around the 350 mark.

I'm rather stoked at the SSM growth. The two combined are almost as much as SFV. Mind you there'd be a lot of overlap.

@flstyle: It sure would be interesting to know why if such a thing is even knowable, the drop does seem sharp compared to everything else. Especially given the big jumps in seemingly everything else.

That SFV number is pretty awesome, hope it's a good show this year!

@bigmike: Last year it was around 15%, probably the around the same this time at a guess.

@slag:It's a huge number, I don't know how they're going to be able to run a tournament with so many people.
