Games I Played in 2014
I figure if I dedicate a large amount of my time to a game in a given year, I might want to keep track of it. I've been revisiting a lot of old games lately, so this is becoming more relevant.

Wonderful game, lots of tense battles and emotional moments. I rarely play games that cause me to say out loud, "That was amazing!" Dragon's Dogma is an amazing game.
Pretty fun and exciting to play initially, but it lost its appeal on me finally. I did spend a few hours playing it though. Love the style and frantic gameplay.
Really liked it, even though it was short. I've probably gotten 5 hours out of it so far, and only about 9% completion.
Nice style, back to its roots.
One of the best RPGs I've ever played. I love this style of open world and combat system. It's like they took everything that I like in an RPG and put it in here. Loot, tons of quests, open world, seeing monsters in the field, skill trees, relationship stats. combat skill chains with other members, epic stories, and an awesome soundtrack.
A good game for the Vita, actually. Much more content in this game than I was expecting. Some of the gimmick Vita actions don't fit in the game, but some work well. I found I was using the accelerometer control for the photo collection moments, and for fine-tuning the sniper rifle aim (but the touch zooming sucks). I didn't like the rear touch controls much, and the balance beam BS with the accelerometer didn't fit in the game. I hated almost every moment of the quick-time event "boss" battles that used the touch screen swipes for punches, especially if one of my swipes didn't register, causing a restart of the whole sequence.
Other than a few missteps caused by game design meant to frame the Vita's capabilities, the game is an Uncharted game, though clearly not as ambitious as the PS3 versions. The game looks and sounds fantastic, and the action tends to ebb and flow like the other games, and always pushes the player onward in the story. It's often hard to quit playing.
Played through the MSX version (part of the PS3 MGS3 HD version)
