Man I really want to meet Shuhei Yoshida once, just to see if he's as nice a human as he seems to be. It's bizarre how gentleness can be communicated.

They go to some lengths to show they've been working on VR a while and not just jumping on Oculus' success. At first I thought it was a smokescreen (hey come on really we were working on it!) but they do actually talk about Oculus and Valve, and being inspired by their success, so that's sweet.

This was really an interesting talk especially the things they learned and suggest to people who want to create games or other experiences with this. Their approach to this sounds really exciting and can not wait to see more of this. maybe even at E3 who knows^^

Meanwhile in Japan things look great as well^^

At an Expo they already showed a version which lets you visit the office of the Idolmaster games

Sony's new HMD (head-mounted device) takes those who wear it into the world of anime. It tracks your head movements so it feels as if you're actually inside a cartoon. Turn to your left, and the video you're watching will swing that way too. The example at Sony's booth was for the idol anime The IDOLM@STER and came loaded with two videos. One showed a concert, with the wearer in the perspective of an audience member. The other (seen below) is set in the offices of the talent agency from the anime and lets you watch the cast behind the scenes.

This stuff could become very very big in Japan. Imagine you could immerse in all these fantasy Anime worlds and participate with your "heroes" or loved Anime characters.
