Pretty damn good again. They're totally taking the piss out of all those Wii lifestyle commercials. Best Easter Egg is the New Zealand flag on the wall. Some will remember that a New Zealand TV station totally ripped off KB's commercial. He's just showing some love back.
Haha. Brilliant.
PlayStation Move Support

PlayStation Move is a motion control system for the PlayStation 3 console, allowing for fluid control of objects in a simulated 3D space.
Kevin Butler Returns For The Move-Tage
It needs more Butler. I feel like they just put five seconds of KB at the beginning so everyone would think this lame ad is awesome.

I dunno. The Mum and Grandad made me chuckle a ton.
Maybe it's an attempt to take the piss out of them, but to me, it kinda just looks like another one of them. "To a certain extent, it has to retain a bit of that "mass appeal" of colour coordinated wardrobes and happy family gaming. I think it does a good job by not completely alienating the pre-existing "hardcore" audience.
Either way, Sony's delivering plenty outside of Move so it doesn't really matter.
I agree it was a smart commercial though. I think BinMan88's right -- they totally made a "Wii-esque lifestyle commercial", but they made it fit into the ethos that Sony's been trying to convey with Move -- i.e. it's still an accessible motion controller, but it's "hardcore" (if you like) too.
I think they're assuming Microsoft's going to do the whole happy-smiley commercial thing with Kinect too. This gives them a bit of separation from both the Wii and Kinect, while essentially saying the absolute same thing.
The Modnation Kevin Butler vs. Jack Tretton ad is still my favourite, mind.
EDIT: Oh, and if it was Move shooters you were after Goldanas, MAG will support it soon after launch.
Sports Champions looks good, I will agree, and I will probably pick it up, but, yes, it is not the experience I'm looking for. A collection of minigames is good for a party, but I'm looking for more games like Sorcery.
When he mocks the idea that motion controls are just for kids, the commercial goes on to barely show any game that has any breadth of depth. I want to see something truly innovative and expansive with the Move, not a series of minigames.
To each his own, of course, my man. They have met your market. They have yet to meet mine.
@Dylabaloo: I think it'll be fine. It's not going to be Wii success, nor will it outsell Kinect this holiday, but I actually think it's going to have legs. 50-or-so game announcements suggests the publishers are getting behind it. I think it's going to be a moderate success.
He was on for probably 10 seconds. It wasn't really necessary to put him in this ad.
Also, at least Sony is willing to support one of their new peripherals. Hardly anybody supports any of the Wii accessories.
" I don't understand Giant Bomb at all. Most of the site bashes the Wii for having gimmicky motion controls and terrible controls for "serious" games, then they praise Move, which is essentially Wii Motion Plus. "Look at the previous posts, i wouldn't say anyone is praising it.
