I don't want this to be a singular "what do I get" thread, I get an answer, and it dies. Feel free to post thoughts and opinions on your new board! The Generic Keyboard thread GOOOOO!

Keyboards- that nice matrix of plastic caps on eletronic switches
Logitech Classic Keyboard 200. Cheap and can take a beating. I've owned a zBoard but switching out the key sets got to be a pain.
Razer Arctosa here.
I would have gone for the Logitech G15, but I prefer flat keys over raised ones.
" I'm currently using a Logitech G15. Chosen because it felt pretty good at the store and I like the layout. "Dude! I knew you had taste. Are you using it with the community G15 apps. LCDMisc and so on? I love my G15 and use it with FRAPS and Coretemp x64, always nice to have my framerate and CPU Core Temps handy, along with all the useful stuff that LCDMisc supplies.
I'm on a laptop so didn't have much choice.
The truth about keyboards is, they are the exact opposite of gaming mice. The standard OEM $20 office keyboard by Microsoft or Logitech will perform just as well, if not better than a Razer, Saitek etc. gaming keyboard. The office ones are built for productivity, so they're sturdy and meant for fast typing (therefore higher reliability and higher "APM"). The so called "gaming" keyboard usually have awkward key placement and lower reliability. I would say the only tangible benefits that gaming keyboards provide are light-up keys and LCD info displays, but as you can see those functions are almost purely aesthetic.
I owned a Razer Lycosa and swiftly went back to my Logitech K200.
Some non-remarkable Logitech one...
It's a board with keys on it, which is pretty much all I want in a keyboard.
I have a keyboard that looks exactly like this one. It's called a merc keyboard and the left side stuff is like a bigger wsad, however I don't use it. I tried it, however I don't feel like redownloading drivers for it. It's more tactile because all those keys there replaces the keyboard, space is the button on the bottom right, reload is bumpy outwards while F is bumpy inwards. It take a few weeks, however eventually you'll get it and the normal keyboard might feel a bit different. I think this keyboard is good for ppl who has trouble with using a keyboard, like console gamers and the wsad keys are bigger and that might be helpful. For batman arkham asylum for example, I can't press X on it because it's not there for x-ray vision. C is next to the space there, it's the second on to the right on the bottom, that's for crouch. I suppose it's easier pressing it this way, however I found it more difficult.
I'm sure the blue merc keyboard glows or something.
Sleek design, not as bulky as your typical gaming keyboard. The backlighted keys are very convenient when playing at night. The only weak point is the tiny left shift button.
