    The first Need for Speed game developed by Slightly Mad Studios. "Shift" is an attempt at the simulation sub-genre of racing games, promising a sense of speed with new realistic effects and a new crash mechanic.

    The Need For Speed Franchise has not fared so well in the past few years, pumping out half decent games, each one worst then the last

    Remember the good old days of need for speed hot pursuit? Damn you Nostalgia!

    So skip a few years ahead to the present.... 2009, and we get a new Need for speed Game-

    NFS: Shift, a hyper realistic driving sim... this should be fun - and I'm not joking this time, it looks and sounds absolutely phenomenal, and I love how they are focusing on making it a cockpit focused racer, something that has not really been done before, it looks like they pretty much nailed a unique experience while driving cockpit wise, with appropriate sound and visual effects, such as the contour of the cockpit blurring out the faster you go, to create a sort of tunnel vision forcing the player to focus on the road ahead.
