    Overview

    Ice Mario as seen in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

    Ice Flowers are the reverse counterparts of the Fire Flower that first got introduced in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. In that game, the brothers throw iceballs which lowers the enemies' attack & defense for a short period of time.
     
    In Super Mario Galaxy,  when Mario or Luigi get this item, they will transform into Ice Mario & Ice Luigi. 
     
    While in Ice form, they can glide over water and create a path of ice. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the item returns again for the 3rd time in the series and this time, they can transform anyone to their Ice form. They can freeze enemies in this form but one hit and they will return to their Super form..
