I have to say it looked pretty cool, cooler than I anticipated. Its like the series is going for a Metroid Prime vibe for the setting which is a good thing. The gun sounds have more "oomph" and punch to them, you can tell that the sound designer for MGS is definitely not going to disappoint us. Love the new enemy designs that look similar to Forerunner archetecture, sure they look like Bionicles but I don't think that's a bad thing at all. Oh yeah, the game looks fan-fucking-tastic! Not only does it look better than any Gears of War game to date, it's the best looking Xbox360 exclusive period. I like how it focuses on being good ol' Halo instead of relying on gimmicks like Halo: Reach's space battles.

343 is cooking up a damn good game so far and maybe it will wash away the bad taste of Halo: Reach out of my mouth. Yeah, pretty much the only good thing shown at Microsoft's press conference.

Most excited I've been for Halo since Halo 3.

Metroid Prime...I knew the way Halo 4 looked reminded me of something.

I think the game looks promising, but I'm still wary of how it will end up. If the enemies are different enough from the Covenant and they manage to adapt the AI to the way the new enemies behave then they should be fine.

I have to say I was really unimpressed by what I saw. It was just running down a linear path and shooting the glowing weak spots on the enemies, and what I associate with the Halo are big open environments, a lot of enemies, and some vehicles. Now, I now there are a lot of linear sections in the Halo games, but it seemed like a rather lackluster and uninspired section to show.

Conversely, I think the game looks very pretty. The people at 343 definitely know how to make a game look good.

I thought of Crysis 2, to be honest.

I and legit excited for this halo. It looks...different. New. Something that will actually change what halo is. And hopefully they dont introduce the flood again, or if they do they do it right.

Looks fun and great, loving the graphics but the gameplay (which is always my number one concern) looked equally smooth with new cool enemies.
 
I'm still a bit dismayed at the lack of Firefight but I'm sure this'll be a day one purchase for me again.

Looked amazing, I hope it is not too liner and scripted though.

Haloid Prime looks pretty goddamned good.

Still not worth re-buying a 360 for, but I'll at least follow the previews and such this time.

Looks rad, I'm excited to see more. Nice to have new enemies to fight, I love Elites but I could use a break from the Covenant.

I nearly cut myself for sitting through all of the E3 press conferences. You know the end is nigh when Ubisoft had the most impressive showcase at E3.

Yeah, it was great. The videos they've put out since about multiplayer looked great as well. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I think 343 has succeeded in exciting the Halo fanbase and also made some other gamers think about getting back into the series. E3 was definitely a success for Halo 4.

It looked hot, but more importantly, it sounded hot. The sound design and the music both really stood out to me. Definitely digging the new direcion.

Looked pretty good overall.

The one thing that made me nervous was the knockdown sequence. Many a promising campaign (read: Battlefield 3) has been ruined by forcing too many quicktime events.

It seems like he is posting on a topic that asks a question he has an answer too. If there is a problem with that then maybe the question shouldn't be asked.

I don't like the new alien enemies, they looked dumb. As a result I'm not sure I'm that interested. Also, I don't really like the idea of exploring forerunner stuff. It worked good as background stuff in the games, but I don't care enough about it for it to be what the games about. I just think it's better as a mystery because I have significant doubts that they can come up with twists or answers that aren't lame, to explain them.

Reminded me a lot of the Metroid Prime games. But seeing as it looks like Nintendo/Retro doesn't plan on releasing another one of those in the foreseeable future it's fine with me.

I don't browse boards. I just look at the recent stuff at the bottom of the main page for what's interesting. I was genuinely interested in reading what other people thought about it. It's a free country! ;-)

As someone that has never cared for the Halo series, I think it looked like more Halo. For the people that enjoy Halo that's probably fine.

It's probably my 3rd most looked forward to game this year. The top 2 being Persona 4 Golden and Persona 4 Arena.

Looked like Halo, in a good way.

Why do you say that? Ubisoft is among the best when it comes to variety, quality, and quantity. They release a fuckton of titles per year, and almost every title aimed at the "core" demographic for games hits the mark. They also take big risks like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, both franchises that many people felt were shoddy investments when they were first introduced. They also brought back Rayman. Goddamn Rayman.

I Am Alive was an interesting title that tried a lot of new ideas as well. It wasn't that good of a game, but that doesn't diminish Ubisoft for being ballsy and taking risks. Even on established franchises (Blacklist looks dope as hell).

Now as far as Halo 4 is concerned. Shit looks dope.

All true, but Ubisoft is still bastardizing Splinter Cell.

Way pumped, they changed more than I was expecting and that's a good thing.
