I have been playing Gta IV a lot recently and I am beginning to think that it is overrated. Lots of people thought it was the perfect game, but I  am no so sure. Don't get me wrong. It is a great game. When are the making a fifth one though?

I wasn't mad on it, but I wasn't able to play it when it first came out and was used to how fluid Uncharted 2 felt. With Saints Row 3 covering the funny over the top side of things it doesn't feel like there is much space for another GTA this generation. The team haven't done any other games since the GTA4 DLC I believe so I like to think they are working on something right now. That type of game gets played out quite fast for me so the improved graphics would be an easy way to make it feel fresh. 

I wouldn't call it perfect, but I thought it was a very good game.

At first i was blown away, but then i realized, apart from the amazing graphics/physics, it didn't do anything better than any previous GTA game. Great game, but no where near perfect, Planescape Torment? Perhaps....perhaps.

Good game, enjoyed it, slightly overrated IMO. Preferred Red Dead, but them I'm a sucker for ponchos.

The story is the reason why you play this game. I didn't really want to do random open-world shit and it's not the game for it; play JC2 if you want to blow shit up. But if you want to play a game with one of the most impactful stories in all video games, then keep playing

GTA IV was great when it came out, but no it was not a perfect game whatsoever. 
That said, it was charming if not a little disjointed, but all Rockstar games have weak stories

The story is most definitely not weak in GTA. Hello Vice City? Story structure may get pretty bland and repetitive but the story of the game ranks up with Hollywood movies easily.
