In the late 90's to 2000 there was a racy PC gaming magazine called PC accelerator. They always had 'adult' articles and many racy pictures. There was an 'intern' who posted articles and columns by the name of 'Gia DeCarlo' and she was pretty hot. The wiki to the magazine lists her as a 'character' in the magazine. I always assumed she was fake but her name was suspiciously similar to a gaming guy I had heard about in the 2000's by the name of Giancarlo Varanini. His Linkedin page only goes back to 2000 when he worked at CNET but the wiki doesn't list him as one of the editors at PC Accelerator. Does anyone know if it was indeed his alter ego at the magazine or know of any story behind Gia DeCarlo?

@strangestories: Remember, this was the era where both-babes were considered totes ok. Everything had to be exxxxtreme and edgy and it was pretty much a boys club. Fortunately the industry as grown up a bit since then (the community around it, not so much...)
