EA Gothenburg is an EA Studio located in Gothenburg, Sweden. The studio was founded as EA Gothenburg in 2011, but was renamed Ghost Games on 15 November 2012. Ghost Games was tasked with development on EA's Need for Speed series. In February 2020, however, EA moved the Need for Speed license back to Criterion Games (the developers of the Burnout franchise who previously developed the 2010 Hot Pursuit and the 2012 Most Wanted) and renamed the studio back to its original name, reducing them back down to an engineering support studio focusing on the Frostbite engine.
