I just got an email from Humble Bundle today, saying the Frog Fractions 2 Soundtrack is ready…

I went back and confirmed that the Kickstarter page said that once the "jig was up" we would get the soundtrack(and the game but nothing on that yet).

Is this a hint from the developers because it has been 6 months since they put it up without anyone finding it or has it been found? I haven't seen any news anywhere saying it has been and they haven't updated the Kickstarter yet. So has anyone else gotten their soundtrack or heard anything about the game being found?

For consideration: maybe frog fractions 1 was frog fractions 2 all along?

Not quite sure how the theory started but there seems to be a strong contingent of people who believe Hatred is actually FF2 which would be an amazing turn of events.

They said the project would take around 18 months, so in theory it shouldn't be finished yet.

Okay, I haven't really been paying attention to all of this, what is the deal with Frog Fractions 2. Did they say they would announce a fake game that's actually Frog Fractions 2?

@beachthunder: No the makers of Frog Fractions are making a game that is as incognito as Frog Fractions was and they are putting it out in the wild with no fanfare when they are done. They are hoping people will discover it organically like they did Frog Fractions. Once it is found they will confirm that the game is indeed Frog Fractions 2 and all will be well. It was all part of the Frog Fractions 2 kickstarter.

He basically said Frog Fractions 2 could be anything. He was not going to announce what it would be or when it was released in hopes of surprising people again.

That makes sense in its own weird way.

Well, in that case, the Hatred theory doesn't make much sense - that has the most fanfare (well, err, reverse fanfare?)

I don't think the plan is to literally release something that no one knows about, it's to release something people don't know is "Frog Fractions 2" (ie, something that radically subverts everyones expectations) until after they've played it. Not that I believe Hatred is FF2, but it could be.

Maybe arsenal gear has already deleted proof of its existence.

That might explain why Valve hastily pulled the plug then backstepped. Maybe they didn't know at first it was Frog Fractions 2? I'm totally wishing this to be true right now. Holy shit how great that would be.

I know some of the people who are making Hatred (unfortunately, I've studied a parallel game design course with some of them, including the guy who was outed as a neo-nazi "radical nationalist" + my level design teacher is their former teacher and co-worker) and I can assure you that this is way too subtle and smart for them.

I finally played this... I heard about it from the GOTY Deliberations in 2012 and for some reason just forgot about it. It's a life changing experience to say the least.

Starting a few weeks ago, Jim Crawford the creator of Frog Fractions has been a regular co-host of Video Games Hot Dog, a podcast by the developers of Kingdom of Loathing. He's mentioned a few things about the process of what's he's working on. It's nothing too specific, just things like he's been learning Unity for the past few months and has hired multiple people to work on something for him. Who knows, maybe even these vague statements are red herrings. I don't know if there's a place where people are collecting intel on Frog Factions 2, but I thought it'd be interesting to discuss it with someone.

This is exactly the case. The Frog Fractions dude regularly guests on a podcast called Video Games Hot Dog. Most recent episode he basically says that he's going to be working on it really hard this year. He's very hush hush about anything directly relating to the game's content, but not the fact that it's still in development.

So, there's a new twitter account (Is The Jig Up Yet?)that Twinbeard himself has retweeted.
