We've been doing little micro-interviews on our Instagram page lately and I'd like to keep doing them and polishing my already formidable video-editing skills. If you could ask any of the GB staff members a question, what would you ask them? I'll try to credit anyone who comes up with good questions in the videos themselves!
What would you ask a staff member if you had the opportunity?
CBS offers you an opportunity to create another website. The only restriction is that it cannot produce any video game related content. It can, however, center around literally any other topic you want, no matter how controversial, filthy, or niche that topic might be. What would you make that website about?
As a person in his 50's, I realize there's no cut off point in playing and enjoying video games, but I'm curious about the future of the Giant Bomb staff and you're doing more than just playing video games. You're reporting on them. Question: Do you see yourself doing what you're doing now at age 50, 60, or will there be a point in the next 20 years where you'll probably pivot to something else? And what do you think that will be? Thank you.
I love to be entertained! But, I'm always holding the worlds largest pinch of salt to go along with it know matter what I'm consuming! Marketing, branding, activating, whatever is usually darkly humorous to me, but I do feel a worry especially for children about the cunning level it's all taken on these days.
As entertainers in the public eye yourselves, living, breathing and witnessing it on a level that I am unable to witness it on... Is this level of skepticism healthy given what you know with your bit of insider knowledge?
And also if Vinny would be able to answer I would like to ask how he does or will go about helping his children understand this part of our world? As a father of a 3 year old myself it's one of the many big issues to try and figure out how to communicate quickly as possible!
Say you’re putting together a cohesive superband or hip-hop group. Who’s in it?
That one’s geared mostly to Alex, I’d guess, but hey, whoever has ideas.
I've lost my mojo! What games do you recommend I play to get my mojo back?
And on a slightly more serious note. If you could be any video game weapon, what would you be? I think I would be the crowbar from Half-Life so I could get man handled by Gordon Freeman.
(Also if anyone asks, the PB doesn't stand for peanut butter.)
If CBS said, "That it folks. we are moving to LA.; and, No, you can't rent space in San Francisco. Our plans are that everyone works in LA for vertical integrations and synergy"; would you leave?

In the current landscape where game footage is widely available before the quicklook is up and more and more games are freely available in some way, what role do you see for quicklooks in the future?
The audience seems split on whether the quicklook should convey some sort of editorial judgment by stacking a game against other games and pointing out whether mechanics are good or original or if the quicklook should revolve around editors attempt to have fun with the game they're handed and letting the game speak for itself entirely.
Hmm interesting alright I'll pose a couple of questions.
What are some notable examples of games that the staff felt they wound up hating upon first playthrough or impression, and loved years later? And vice versa, something they loved when they first played it but that they dislike or don't enjoy now?
This last console generation saw a serious rise in everyone pitching their version of the "open world experience." What do they think the more defining game styles or themes might be in the next console cycle?
Mr gerstman, you are well known for your lenient stance on crime, but suppose for a second that your house was ransacked by thugs, your family was tied up in the basement with socks in their mouths, you try to open the door but there's too much blood on the knob...
Anyways my question is do you still hate video games and why?
Have you ever enjoyed reading a comment for content that you have been in?
And just to stir things up:
Have you ever considered a coworker to be your friend?
Ok, to the whole team: Every member of giant bomb/beast has to contribute to one portion of making a game in dreams, what do each of you do? (P.S. this should be a segment and how you do the QL, just sayin.)
Backup question for anyone: Whats the #1 game you see yourself playing even if you leave the gaming industry?
Two parter:
1) have you got any good team bonding exercise stories?
2) if you had to organise a team bonding exercise, how would you make it not be shit?
Yes, the second question is very much me trying to get you to do my homework.
