...what? A 2 year old thread, with over 200 views... and no posts in it at all... on the front page of the Forums? Weird.
Official Post your gaming setup
I'm guessing the mods deleted the previous posts so new posts can make their way. :)
Here's my current rig (runs Just Cause 2 on Max settings):
Motherboard: Intel RQ41p - 60$
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.9Ghz - 80$
RAM: Kingston 2Gb DDR2 - 46$
Video Card: NVidia 7900GTO - 69$
Total: 255$
I used to have a 6800GT and it was useless, so the new card really made me a believer. I run Just Cause 2 on Maximum with some useless features turned off (for example, AA because my monitor isn't big enough to warrant it). It runs on a steady 35-40fps.
ASUS P5Q-e
GameXStream 850W PSU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
nVidia GTX 260
2 GB Kingston DDR2 RAM
In an Antec 900 case and hooked up to my LG 32LH40 via HDMI
" @tdk08: I know right! But I assure you it's 100% true. :) I used to have a 6800GT and it was useless, so the new card really made me a believer. AA isn't useless BTW, even on a small monitor it's a pretty big thing
Just remember guys, if you are looking at this thread for build ideas:
You don't need a 300$ video card to play games on great settings if you have a regular 21 inch monitor.
The higher the memory that video card has means it can handle more resolution and you don't need more resolution unless you have a big monitor. Don't waste your money on something you don't need! That's all. ;)
@Th3_James:
AA isn't noticeable if you have a small monitor.
