Hey guys. Well my wife and my 3 month old son are gone for a week. They are 800 kilometers away which means I have the entire house to myself!!! GAMING TIME!!!!

I need some suggestions on games I can rent and beat in one or two settings.

Here's a list of potential rentals I can think of...

The Bourne Conspiracy
The Darkness
Bioshock
Stranglehold
perhaps Assassin's Creed
That guy named Wu .. I forget
The Orange Box maybe?
Overlord?
Stuntman Ignition

I want to take my time with eventually purchasing DMC4,  NG2 and Lost Odessey. I currently own/owned/beat the following games as well. Farcry, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Burnout Revenge, GTAIV, Crackdown, Dead Rising, Kameo, The Simpsons Game, Gears of War.

So yeah, that's my situation. Hopefully some of you can shed some light on some good games I can experience over this week.

TIA

Stranglehold and Dark Sector are definitely good rentals.

Some other rentals I recommend are:
DMC4
Ninja Gaiden 2

Definitely get Bourne Conspiracy and The Darkness. They were the first two rental games I got from LoveFilm and I love both. Bourne Conspiracy is a perfect rental game because it's short. I would also recommend renting Assassin's Creed.

You like many of the same games I do so all I can say is get Bioshock or Mass Effect; though I personally would buy Mass Effect so you can play it through more than once.

Other ideas looking at my profile: The Darkness, Bully, Viking, Assassin's Creed, Test Drive Unlimited or Viva Pinata.

Heck, you need to play all of them, get Bioshock first.

Out of the games you mentioned I would definitely recommend The Darkness. It's a great game and something you can finish in a shortish period of time. Stranglehold is also a decent rental(definitely not a buy). It's short and fun for the most part, but not a game you would ever want to play again.

...and if you only wanted to rent one game...I would say rent The Orange Box. You would likely be able to finish HL2 and both episodes, as well as Portal. All of which are great games.

TimeShift and the Simpsons game.  Oh, and I liked Naruto: Rise of a Ninja. Hope they make a sequel to that.
