Thumbnails on videos going missing

I don't know if it's CDN trouble or what but I'm seeing a black image under the play button that previously held an image. I do have a 404 in my console for a PNG for these pages that I don't get on ones that have an image. The videos I've seen this happen on so far:

I was also going to report thumbnail issues. I primarily use the Video Buddy (third party) app on Android. Maybe Thursday or Friday I noticed a lot of the thumbnails in the app were just showing black. I opened my phone's web browser and went to the website and found that if I click on the "Latest" link on the homepage, almost all of the thumbnails that I couldn't see in the app were also broken on the site. I tried using Brave, Chrome, and Firefox on my phone and the thumbnails were broken or black on all of those browsers. If I use chrome on my computer however they display fine even if I shrink the browser down to force the mobile view of the site.

This seems to the same issue I reported a few months ago, only much more widespread.

The link to the image ends with png but it should end with jpg. Might be slightly different than the api issue linked in the post above.

@forcen Ya looks like you are right. I took the image link from the latest UPF (which is one that has issues) and it does not work until you change it to .jpg then the image appears in the web browser.

I'm also having this issue. Sometimes the thumbnails work and other times they don't. I'm using chrome and windows 7. calling @rorie

Hey it sounds like the engineers are on to the cause of this and will hopefully have a solution soon. Sorry for the trouble.

it had a big thumbnail yesterday and today it's 404.

It may seem weird that I notice this but I tend to watch stuff in order if I don't get catch it live and I just load up the tabs as I see new releases. I have to reload the pages before starting the video because videos will fail to play(or stop playing once the buffer end is reached if it was paused) if it's not freshly loaded(which is another annoying bug).

I will add that the videos with broken images also won’t launch on XBMC apps: UPF 2/28, World of Horror QL, Breaking Brad, Bloodroots QL.

Looks like a lot of UPFs might have this issue. I also noticed that the video player for this weeks UPF has a 4:3 aspect ratio or something close to that when not in fullscreen.

Just chiming in as another user seeing this (hey fellow Video Buddy diehards!) I noticed it didn’t happen to anything on the game of the year so thought it was a New Year New Tech thing but glad to see the Top Men are on the case. Thanks and appreciate your work.
