As a long time Battlefield guy I'm still devastated by how this turned out. So much work wasted on such a grossly misguided project :(
There would be the usual outrage for the hell of it. But I don't think any genuine fans of the franchise would care if they just flushed the whole thing now and moved onto the next. Hell, give us a Battlefield 4 Remaster in the interim. I'd quite happily play a brushed up, cross-play version of BF4 and try and forget this insult to the series ever came out.
I've completely written off battlefield now. It's such a shame. I don't think anything other than a complete revamp of the entire ui, gameplay, and systems would get me back, which is basically just a whole new game. What a disaster.
