    Mediocre At Best

I don't know whether it's me or not but it seems that strategy turn-based RPG's may no longer be my thing. In other words, I might not be interested in them as much.

Personally, the game started out slow and was slow throughout most of the game. I had to force myself to play. I suppose it might've been the main story plot. I really enjoyed playing the offshoot story plots because those were much more interesting than the main story plot. Thank goodness for those side missions!

The graphics are superb. Great 2D art and really brings the world to life. The animations is also quite good as expected of using 3D models to create 2D sprites. I do admire SE's sense of artistic skills and attention to detail.

Music isn't the best but suitable.

Final words. It still doesn't match up to the original Final Fantasy Tactics on the Playstation that started it all but the targets are different so that's forgivable. High replay value due to the many side missions and such.

My recommendations: a suitable time waster and worth a shot for those that still prefer turn-based strategies over real time. Also, the younger crowds might like it.

One of these games was Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: Grimoire of the Rift. Not only is this possibly the longest title I have ever come across in my life, but it’s also a pretty damn good RPG game, considering it’s on the DS. But then, for a Square Enix game, I w...

Mostly light-hearted stories and fun tactical battles 0

(www.plasticpals.com) Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift is another installment in Square-Enix’s turn-based strategy role-playing franchise. As expected it shares more in common with its GBA predecessor than the PlayStation game (now available on the PSP and iPhone). It’s one of the best examples of its genre, but each game in the series requires a big time commitment.Taking a page from The Neverending Story, a young boy named Luso is transported to the fantasy world of Ivalice when,...
