Overview
Electronic Arts Los Angeles, or EALA, develops and produced games for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii,PlayStation 2, the MAC and the PC. They had also previously done work for the Xbox.
In January 2004, EALA relocated to a new campus that was custom-designed in the Playa Vista section of West Los Angeles, allowing the addition of more than 650 development experts and creative artists, planned to be hired before the end of the decade.
Developers are within walking distance of the beach from the campus
EALA's best known franchises are Command and Conquer, Medal of Honor, and the Lord of the Rings.
Recently EALA collaborated with director Steven Spielberg to develop Boom Blox for the Wii.
In 2009, former Pandemic Studios employees were relocated to EALA to work on Mercs Inc. when Pandemic was shut down.
In 2010 the first-person shooter team housed at EALA was renamed to Danger Close. The team is still located at the EALA offices.
