After watching this video by fantastically enthusiastic youtuber "happyconsolegamer" I'm totally sold on it, that and it's finally down to 30 bucks. Is it good? Is it more than the same thing over and over again? Please leave your feelings on booby witch out of it. I really don't care it you think, it's terrible the witch has big boobs.

It took me a bit to get used to all its complexities, but yes. It's good. I ended up putting about 25 hours in, along with some co-op. It may seem mindless at first but it's a really fun game that you can get super deep into.

Personally, I preferred Muramasa: Rebirth for Vanillaware, but Dragon's Crown is no slouch.

I thought it was really fun. Played it coop with my husband and we both liked it a lot. He played Muramasa, I played Odin Sphere; this game was the best of both worlds. Cooking mini-game is a nice touch, but I think it would be more fun to play on a vita.

Kinda wish there were more levels, but with the amount of detail, I'm not that surprised there aren't more. At least they branch. Great bang for your buck at $30.

@jz: Sure. Why do you think folks like Jeff or Arthur Gies hate preorders and want you to read reviews first? It's your money I guess. I suppose it's good that you asked first.

I had a good amount of fun with it, but it didn't manage to fully grab me. The levels are just a tad too short, and there's a tad too few of them, which made it feel too repetitive. After about 4-5 runs through every level you pretty much know exactly what to do and you just start going through the motions. And around that same time the only character progression left is just bigger numbers.

I played as the elf and had a great time (upgrade that dodge skill!). And you actually get 3 AI players with you.

But I should mention that a lot of this game is replaying levels once you get deep into it. So if you're worried about repetition, despite it being fun, consider that.

Don't be all immature about it. The Sorceress is by far the most fun class in the game.

I stumbled across a hard copy (I thought the game was just downloadable) and picked it up. So far it's fun, I'd say go for it. I also think the art is fantastic.

I am juggling a level 75 Fighter and a level 31 Sorceress at the moment and have about 80 hours clocked on the game and let me just say that it's addictive but it's not without a few issues, I will let you discover those on your own, but yeah it's a cool game.

I loved it a lot. Just a combat it's fun to just play. Just getting in there and wacking things it feels like streets of rage level of simplicity.

@jz: Huzzah. It gets better once you start leveling. I do hope you stuck with the elf because it's a super fun, agile class when you get more powerful.

Its okay. In the end I didn't end up sticking to it very long. Worth checking out though if you can get it for cheap.

Dang it. Stupidly thought this was for Dragon's Dogma. Which, is pretty good. Not that you asked.

    I haven't played this game.

@jz: You know, it's an odd release, considering how Capcom's D&D came out almost virtually with in the same time frame. You could have skipped this and played the Capcom D&D game, just nicer how this one looks and plays.
