I'm on the verge of creating a huge post to really get specific here but since it's only 2,49€, I'm just looking for yay- or naysayers.

if the 1st FPS you touch was Halo, than you probably won't "get it".
 
It's hard to go back to older PC games, because their mechanics are obsolete by today's standard. 
 
In the event you get it, prepare to be killed by extreme rightist terrorist in the 1st level. A lot.

I'm 19 and I used to play Deus Ex, game was bloody awesome. It's definitely worth the money, even if it doesn't appeal to you but it's only 2.50 eur to find out!

You should get it if you want to broaden your experience with first person shooters, but I will admit that it did age over time. 
 
For 2.50, it's still very much worth getting. You probably won't think it's the best pc game ever, but you may find some enjoyment there. Or you will be frustrated as all hell. Remember, this was a game that was challenging by pc gamer standards, which loosely translated means that this game was hard as hell.

a Fantastic game. Even if you play it and don't like it it's a very important part of gaming history and if you're interested. An important game to 'know' about.

You can't lose for $2.50. Even if you don't like it, you won't lose much.

That's what I keep telling myself, since I just bought it, I am going to install it later on not now, I have no motivation to play it however I bought a copy just incase there isn't going to be anymore sales.

I bought it just because the Human Revolution trailer impressed me so much.

Asking if Deus ex i worth buying is like asking if water is important. Fuck yeah!

Get the first one. You'll like it after the first mission.
 
The second is janky.

Its been on too many "greatest games" lists to miss out on. Especially for $2.50

I've never played Deus Ex, and I purchased it today in the deal and am looking forward to trying it out. Even if the game isn't that great by todays standards, it seems to be a reasonably important slice of video gaming history and, which is enough reason to play it in my books.
