Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Stomps the competition
Call of Duty 4 was 2007s best game. Everything about the game made it the complete package. A solid (although short) Single player. A super deep and addiciting Multiplayer as well as being one the best First Person Shooters to ever be developed. COD4 has more than top notch production values, it has personality! It rocks hard as hell and here's why:
Story: An Terror leader known as Al Asad has taken nuclear weapons and killed the president of Saudi Arabia. The country is now engulfed in War and the UN is moving in to keep things calm. Meanwhile the Russians are interplaying between the US/UK as Terror cells from Al Asad move into hiding in Eastern Europe and Russia.
Gameplay wise this game is just a beast. Tons of athentic guns, and every single one of them feels like a hand cannon. Im not sure why, but shooting people in this game never gets old. In the online mode you can work to unlock weapon mods as well as custom paint for your gun. So what kind of weapons are there? Unlike a WWII game with the same boring load out you'll be operating with guns like the AK47, M4 and even some kickass LMGs and more. There are about 30 weapons all of which look and sound phenominal.
The way you move around and interact is fairly basic, but its all about the cenamtic battles. The AI is pretty descent, and will do alot of cool things to try and kill you. For one, they see you coming, and close a door, then lob a grenade through the crack of the door. Its always a blast fighting these guys cause they do some crazy ass things. The Single player is awesome, and has a huge variety of missions, but at times its rather linear and it does end in under 6 hours but that takes nothing away from this mammoth of a game.
Graphically COD4 is a massive sucssess and by that I mean its one of the finest looking games to date. Theres alot of grain, but it fits the game very well. All the out door levels set in the middle east are crazy to look at. Dusty and very believeable, they make you fear war like never before. Theres even a Nuke that goes off right in front of you and lets just say its one of the most incredible looking things EVER in a game. Surely a great looking game is even better with good audio, and thats a good point in COD4 which has some poweful and pure Monsterous volume. Guns pop like they should and explosions will wake the neighbors, its amazing!
Overall COD4 is a must own and unless your some Anti-Gun liberal, you have no excuess to get this badass game.
