    Battlefield Bad Company Review

Battlefield Bad Company is an interesting game.  I mean its a fun first person shooter and you can have a lot of fun with it, but there are just some huge flaws that just cant be ignored.  The first thing you'll notice in this game is taht you can blow stuff up.  that never gets old.  Its a fun way to enter buildings and a great way to set up enemies.  Heres a review of the campaign as well as the MP.

    Campaign

Battlefield was never known for its single player campaign but it all changes with Bad Company.  You play as Preston Marlow and  you are in a squad of four, known as bad company.  The single player campaign basically takes you along this journey througout Russia and the story is actually somewhat interesting.  Basically your on a smooth track, until your squad discovers gold, then everything gets kinda fucked up from there.  The campaign has a lot of options, because its kind of a sandbox-type shooter.  You can take a tank if you want, you could walk, heck you can even take golf carts.  There are also a lot of collectables you get along the way which are basically guns.  Peronality is also a big plus as your squad is constantly cracking jokes.  Some have complained it takes away from the intense action, personally i just think it adds a really nice touch.

Overall the campaign is fun, but there are a ton of faults..  the first is ur squad ai.  They dont do shit.  I mean if you thought the Arbiter was bad in Halo, this time around you have 3 assclowns that follow you around and dont do shit.  And when I say dont do shit, not only do they not kill people but they dont even die that often.  It seems like the only reason theyre even in this game is to crack jokes, which BFBC has a ton of.  Thats cool but im sorry i dont need names above my squad mates telling me wehre they are when they literally do not contribute to the game at all.

Now in the difference with the BFBC squad and teh Halo arbiter is that u could fix the Arbiter in Halo by playing co op.  Not the case in BFBC.  It really is a bummer too because it just seems like the game is designed for 4 people and it could have worked out really well that way.  So basically youre stuck w/ the assclowns the entire way through which may not take away from the fun that much but its defnitly annoying.

The campaign in BFBC is fun and worth looking at but most people will be checkin it out for the multiplayer

    MP

The multiplayer in BFBC is limited but its still a lot of fun.  There are two game modes and both are excellent.  BC also has a nice ranking system where you can unlock differnt weapons and perks.  The first mode is gold rush which is like an attack and defend type.  The multiplayer is class based and really emphasizes team work.  These are all great ideas but they suffer because most of the idiots ignore team work.  The second mode is conquest which is a domination type game like in call of duty but on bigger maps and with vehicles.  Thats an edge BFBC has, vehicles.  Its a lot of fun driving around those tanks killing people.  The MP is solid all around but there is one main thing that keeps it from being perfect and thats the maps.  theyre too big.  I mean you want them big, but not this big, this open.  A lot of times youll be running for like 3 mintues straight then get sniped out of nowhere.  the buildings are also really poor and are all really similar.  Another thing that weighs down the multiplyaer is that you can be whatever class you want.  you want 12 assaults on a team?  you got it.  I think it would have been a lot nice having to split up in classes.  Would have made the game more interesting.

So yeah, theres my review.  Overall a great game but there are huge flaws that haunt it from being amazin.  The graphics look great and the sound is superb.  This is defnitly worth checking out but I would rent it first before to see if its your cup of tea.

    Campaign: 3 stars
    MP: 4 stars
    Lasting Appeal: 3 stars
    Score: 3.5 stars -rent first

Unleash havoc on the battlefield like never before. 0

In late 2006, Electronic Arts released Battlefield 2142 on the PC to relative success. Two years later, the Battlefield series came to consoles with the release of Battlefield: Bad Company. In Bad Company, you'll be utilizing Dice's new Frostbite engine to destroy your way through a somewhat short single-player and an addicting multiplayer experience. Though Bad Company is quite different from its Battlefield cousins in both story and presentation, minus a few small annoyances, it's a great shoo...

Wanna blow stuff up? Get Bad Company. 0

If I wanted to make this review short and sweet, I'd probably just say "If you like blowing stuff up and killing a bunch of people while doing it, then Battlefield Bad Company is the game for you." But since I like to add a bit of professionalism to my reviews, I'll delve a bit more into the game and give you a more enlightened point of view on this first-person shooter. Battlefield Bad Company comes from developer EA DICE and publisher Electronic Arts and chronicles the adventures of B-Company...
