One of the big promises for Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer extension for Grand Theft Auto V, was heists with friends. Online heists still haven't been implemented, but Rockstar claims it's coming soon.

More specifically, Rockstar said online heists will be included with the first update to GTA Online after GTA V launches on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next week. There's no timetable for the update, but one assumes it's not that far off.

"We know you’re all excited for more Updates to come and we’ve got some really exciting stuff in the works to continue adding to, expanding and evolving the world of Grand Theft Auto Online – including the highly anticipated launch of Online Heists which will be available for all four consoles as the first GTA Online Update to happen after the game launches on PS4 and Xbox One. We’ll have some details on that very soon as well."

Heists were a highlight of GTA V's single-player, and it was easy to imagine how tackling them with others could've been amazing. One year later, we're still left wondering. Hopefully, that changes soon.
