North American release date? What about Europe? By not giving us a release date theyre just telling us to fuck off

It certainly comes close to the trailer, and I also agree it does look better in spots.  The flame thrower effects are better  and more detailed in the actual game.  The only place where I think the trailer outshines  the game is the beginning descent in the lander vehicle, and in the more detailed background city.  But the game compares VERY nicely to it.    This game is going to be amazing.

Dont' have a PS3, but if it turns out as good as they say it's going to be, im getting one.

lol i like the pic, the actual gameplay in the new "preview code" compared to that original trailer look much better to me. they've totally lived up to the promise.

Well, the original killzone may have not been that good but all of the press and beta players are saying this is an amazing game that exceeded their expectations so we shouldn't treat this as killzone 1.

Looks like friday and sunday are starting to get their status in the release schedule upped.  A lot of big releases have come out on friday or Sunday.  Nintendo usually like to bust out their own franchises that day and Gears came out on Friday.  Look out for this one.  I am eager to see how it turns out but given that the first one built up hype and fell on its face, everyone should reserve judgement.

I'm trying to not get excited about this game but Sony is making it very hard.

Killzone 2 looks AMAZING. I cant imagine having seen a game that looks liek this... I hope this becomes that mythological creature known as the: "Halo Killer". Remember to whisper that, it is it who shall not be mention.

This is worth buying a PS3 for.  The more I See of this game, the more excited I get about it.  Its looking to have crazy high production values and graphics that havn't really been done before bar Crysis and MGS4 with gameplay to match!...can't wait!!

I have been reserved.  I remember the hype of the first one, and also some of the hype here reminds me of how I was feeling before other games such as Black (Criterion), which had a lot of promise, but fell short just because of one or two things.  With what actual gameplay thats being shown in multiplayer I really like the way the game moves and feels, 'course would rather get a controller in hand.  I'll need to pick apart the AI in the single player videos.  I never played K1, but I understand that's where its downfall was.

I find it hard to get excited about a console FPS.

People have no one but themselves to blame when they hype a game they've never played expecting it to be the second coming of Christ in 1080p and it turns out to just be pretty good.

CoD:MW2 is out in 2009 and actually has a quality precedent.

Calling this game the "Halo Killer" will only lead to bad things.

I'll probably get around to this after LBP and MGS4.  It looks pretty good, but it doesn't look as good to me as the trailer.  Maybe I just need to see it in person.
