50 Cent Has Played Modern Warfare 2 (And Gets A Voice Role?)

Whatever, I'm holding my excitement until Tony Yayo gets to play it.

Maybe a better question is why are they all standing around looking at sunglasses samples? Is MW2 going to come with shades, too?

Jeez, Infinity Ward's bringing in all kinds of celebrity-types to play Modern Warfare 2. 50 Cent's official news site updated with shots of the skull enthusiast playing games at Infinity Ward alongside the guys from Good Charlotte. The post states that 50 is doing a voice the game, as well, specifically "The Multi-Player Voice."

I have to imagine that means he's just doing some random soldier voices in multiplayer, but what if they meant he was the announcer? Can't you just hear 50 screaming "headquarters located, motherfucker" now?

Also, maybe it's just me, but between Good Charlotte, 50, and Dane Cook, doesn't it seem like IW is going out of its way to connect its game with questionable celebs? Are Spencer Pratt, Chris Brown, and the guy from Jon Gosselin coming in next week, or what? The only celebrity types that've played it (and been noted publically) that I can think of that don't seem like awful people are Will Arnett and Jon Glaser. Oh, and Ice-T, who recently saw the game in New York.

Oh, and thanks to Sylinder for the tip.

[UPDATE] Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has stated that 50 will be doing one of the squad member voices in "multiplayer/Spec Ops."
