    Which JB are you

Jason Bourne, James Bond, Jack Bauer which one are you.

1st off Alpha Protocol is buggy. From camera looking through walls to doors no longer being able to be opened again. The game is buggy.

2nd issue Alpha Protocol is campy. Overdone characters mixed with some more realistic ones makes the game a mixed bag of all three of the JB story styles.

3rd and final note. This game was fun and that's the important part. The two issues above are ignored once you get into the fast paced engaging, not poorly done, dialogged sequences. There is no middle ground, you have to make a choice and since there is a timer you need to make one now. Add in specific character reactions, from professional old cantankerous spies to machine gun totting uber women and seductive journalists and you'll find that this is some of the best since Mass Effect and in same cases better.

The direct result of your choices is felt more in this game then any other I've played. In other RPG games you can walk the line and keep everyone happy most of the time. In this game there is no walking the line, you're on their side or your a target. This makes for an engaging game in the role-playing and has made me want to go back.

The combat is ok, playing a pistol, stealth, tech was fun and great but once the bad guys found me and were barreling in on me the buggy nature of the game kicked in. I'm not sure yet on how a non-stealth game would go.

The RPG elements and equipment management is well done and just deep enough to make you want the next big item or gun without breaking the game too early. Also your equipment access is based on the people you've allied yourself with. Different strokes for different folks so when you hang out with specific parties they pass on only what they like not so much your favorite equipment. Just another set of thoughts you need to make while role-playing.

All in all a fun game with a few issues. It's worth the look check it out.

Should you answer the call to get Alpha Protocol? 0

So I traveled the globe, made some friends, a few enemies, chose to save a damsel in distress over a large amount of civilians in the roman museum to see if I could get a shot at love (let’s just say it went horribly wrong), found the gal that was right for me only to have her killed in the end, and then sought revenge on the people responsible for all the madness in the first place allowing me to rightfully save the world. Now this is one of a million ways you can choose to play the game onc...

      Alpha Protocol - A REAL RPG 0

Ignore the reviews, any fan of RPG's MUST play this game. If you can look past the texture pop-in, stiff animations, and various bugs, there is a hidden gem to be played.  Let's start with the positives, the dialogue system is one of the best in gaming. Dialogue choices actually effect the overall story and how certain characters view you. It doesn't have empty choices that lead nowhere (Mass Effect, etc.). It also has a great cast of characters and an intriguing storyline. The RPG elements in t...
